To avoid Unmanned level crossing accidents, Rly should go for provision for GPS based alarm system on these gates which will go off sensing the approaching trains.

To improve railway services, it needs to have more and more funds, and for that certain new ideas are important, eg. proper advertisement on display within train, good catering services which promote packed food, regularizing small vendors in train with some fixed charges, modernizing platforms with various types of entertainment facilities etc. which would attract money spending and add to the income of Railway. This money should be used for better facilities for passengers.

Accidents at unmanned level crossings is always a human error. Unfortunately lot of innocent lives get lost in the same. Use of technology is a possible solution. Since railways have strong communication system installed for their own use, the same can be used for preventon of accidents.
A alarm system can be installed which will go off 5 minutes before the actual arival of the train at that location, this is very much possible to be automated. Technology is availalbe for the same.
