The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Both class room and industry orientation are important.. But we should recruit professors having practical industry experience and employing students to work for low salaries in industries for about one year. That will benefit both to industry and student.

Vaishno devi before takeover by the Honourable Governor sh Jagmohan was full of beggars on route of 14kms. Tirupati Balaji Tirumala is the most clean and greenest of all the temples. It can be compared to Switzerland. We wish all other Temples can be managed similarly to attract and facilitate pilgrims and the donations received thereof can be utilised for the social , educational and developmental cause. It will also provide rehabilitation to the real poor people. With Best wishes and regards.

Honourable Prime minister, The programme on Radio 'Man ki Baat' is very encouraging and motivating directly to people. I would like to draw your kind attention towards beggary in india which is more of habit and organised crime rather than need based. Our Hindu temples are mostly surrounded by the beggars who spoil the sanctity and cleanliness of the temple surroundings. The only temples, I know well organised and maintained are Tirupati Balaji and Vaishno devi.

Honourable Prime Minister, The main hurdle small business man are facing today is the payment guarantee of the goods sold. We are also exporting the goods to USA and we find that it is very easy for our customers in USA to give credit to the companies which have the good credit. For this they have the factoring facilities and the Factor advises him about the extent they can give the credit to their customers. Please ask the financial institutes to start this kind of facility here also.
