The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

It is pleasant to note that turnover tax is likely to replace LBT. Abolition of LBT in Maharashtra is cheerful news. By whatever name new tax is introduced, State Govt must ensure that rate of the commodities within the city & outside Municipality remain the same & at par. By doing so evasion would automatically be curtailed This criterion of imposing new tax throughout the State including Mumbai city would provide equal opportunities to consumers as well as traders.

Dear sir, i have a view that comapnies manufacturing heavy products like cement, sheets etc. Directly transport the goods (via truck)to the retailer from the manufacturing place , without dumping it in companies godown , then this procedure will reduce the usage of fuel in high quantity.

Dear sir, In our country big companies have launched "gold/silver" schemes for selling their products. If they do not offer these schemes the import for gold and silver will be reduced to huge extent.
