Belagavi is the oldest city in Karnataka with a rich history and culture. It is the 4th largest city in the state and the fastest growing urban center. Belagavi is also a business hub and education center of Karnataka. The city has been shortlisted by Ministry of Urban Development for development as one of the 100 smart cities in India.

Belagavi City Corporation is preparing the Smart City Proposal with an intent to plan and provide smart solutions to urban infrastructure issues of the city and welcomes the citizens of Belagavi to post their views, opinions, thoughts and plans on smart solutions for their infrastructure needs related to water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, storm water drainage, housing, amenities related to recreational activities, sports facilities, energy efficiency, non-motorized transport, safety, electrification, open space development and management, healthcare, education, public transport, key infrastructure such as pedestrian walkways, cycle paths, roads, underpasses, over-bridges, services such as e-governance tools etc. Inputs from citizens is crucial for framing a vision for tomorrow’s Belagavi and to get shortlisted as one among the top 20 cities in the first year, in the Smart City Challenge.

Come, let’s together make Belagavi a thriving and vibrant smart city.

akash belagi EC KLECET 1] swach bharat abhiyan should be seriously worked, only its introduction was good now nobody cares. according to me there should be dustbin and spiting bins in public places. 2] there should be WiFi facilities in imp places 3] load shielding should be reduced as it affect the daily chores. 4] the people who had been suffering leprosy resides outside the temples. the donation into temples should give some facilities to them. 5] proper inspection for corruption.

KLE's R.L.Sc. Institute. 1. Any govt. work to be executed should be supervised & certified by local committee consisting of 6 to 7 members residing in that area. 2. The amount allotted for the work type of work done,materials used and the durability of the wok should be notified to the public

The core infrastructure elements in a Smart City would include: adequate water supply, assured electricity supply, sanitation, including solid waste management efficient urban mobility and public transport, affordable housing, especially for the poor, robust IT connectivity and digitization, good governance, especially e-Governance and citizen participation, sustainable environment, safety and security, health and security

klecet EC We all know that Belagavi's growth has reduced very much,it's almost nill since so many year. each one of us know the reason behind it is nothing but the communal,religious clashes... so before proceeding to all those wifi facilities bla bla.... Focus should be on being smart people.Smart city is not just the smart facilities,smart infrastructure but also smart and broad minded people.So my suggestion is Please create awareness.

There should be dustbins placed every 500mtrs of distance .. Specially in ramteerth nagar.. where there's is no dustbins at all .
