Belagavi is the oldest city in Karnataka with a rich history and culture. It is the 4th largest city in the state and the fastest growing urban center. Belagavi is also a business hub and education center of Karnataka. The city has been shortlisted by Ministry of Urban Development for development as one of the 100 smart cities in India.

Belagavi City Corporation is preparing the Smart City Proposal with an intent to plan and provide smart solutions to urban infrastructure issues of the city and welcomes the citizens of Belagavi to post their views, opinions, thoughts and plans on smart solutions for their infrastructure needs related to water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, storm water drainage, housing, amenities related to recreational activities, sports facilities, energy efficiency, non-motorized transport, safety, electrification, open space development and management, healthcare, education, public transport, key infrastructure such as pedestrian walkways, cycle paths, roads, underpasses, over-bridges, services such as e-governance tools etc. Inputs from citizens is crucial for framing a vision for tomorrow’s Belagavi and to get shortlisted as one among the top 20 cities in the first year, in the Smart City Challenge.

Come, let’s together make Belagavi a thriving and vibrant smart city.

KLEDRMSSCET,Belagavi. 1)Footpath is must. 2)Transportation should be more focused upon 3)Ring road or fly over would solve many transportation problems.

KLECET BGM CS Need some missions like swachh Belgaum abhiyaan, Proper roads, Need to implement good and clean vegetable markets. setting up Street lights helpful to vehicles and pedestrians.

All Foundries surrounding Belgaum city & industries emmitting smoke and hazardous gasses should be strictly inspected by the Pollution control boad & necessary equipments should be forced to installed if not installed.

KLESCET CS 1) better roads, traffic management. 2) proper dustbins on the roads. 3) proper drainage system. 4) technical waste disposal.

KLESCET BGM,CS 1) Heavy vehicles during the college hours should not be permitted. 2) Road facilities should be improved. 3) Wifi facilities should be provided. 4) Power and water supply should be 24*7.

"Dust Free Belgaum" There are lot of health problems arising due to dust . All open grounds should be planted with maintenence free lawns to avoid dust .Roads should be designed dust free.
