The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

Dear Modi Sarkaar,2 years ago on 16th Dec 2012 a ghastly incident had occurred on Delhi streets when a 23year old girl was gang- raped. Following widespread protests government decided to enact strong laws to deter rapes. But, According to figures released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), the total number of rape cases reported in India has gone up to 33,707 in 2013 from 24,923 in 2012. I would urge you to launch a strong law against rape this year on the anniversary of this incident

The girl child education is the main cause for the backwardness of girls in india.we need to make is compulsory for the girl child to study up to metric.once the girls would be made educated then the sex ratio would improve and there is a need for change in law for female foeticide that is it should be treated as a murder and strong punishment be given to both the doctor and parents.

the social discrimination against girl child is of major concern. female foeticide is on. dignity of women which are compared with sita, savitri and durga; no more seems practical. The reason might be their journey towards the earning group of the country which is not too easy. Women and female teenagers must be encouraged to reach the working class of the country rather than discouragement. Like this girls will not be felt as a burden for the parents who are still ignorant.

all countrymen should have to unite to end discrimination against girls in all the spheres of social life.main evil things which is present in today's society which affected girls badly in my view as follows 1.family discrimination -generally in our villages girls is less preferred in terms of education then boys. 2 dowry-it is one of the biggest problem which is the main reason of declining trends in child sex ratio.its irony that even so called highly educated families this eval is rampant

Child labour should be discouraged. They are hired by sweepers and various other places - depriving them of our future.

Those who have one or two girl child should get tax exemption upto 15 lac income per annum, interest free home loan, regular pension scheme, interest free marriage loan, education loan etc than only our society will be able to change their view on girl child.those parents should get priority in govt service .than feticide will be reduced. Demand and supply both should be reduced.than we can solve the problem.

there must be no option available to terminate normal pregnancy ,so patients will not think even to conceive for sex selection as she has to continue pregnancy anyway.middle and higher class is going for sex selection not the poor one. If mtp is done in normal pregnancy than patient and doctor should be punished under 302. There should be strict law otherwise sex ratio will further decline.
