The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

If everyone gives out 1 rupees everyday then we would have 1.252 billions rupees. With that much money not only we can change india, but we can also change the world. With that much money we can change the school system, This way girls and boys who are unable to afford school will be able to do so. that is all I would like to say. "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi

Rich or poor, people from different caste, and all kind of people will attend public school together. Unity between caste, rich or poor, will form and students or future workforce or future voting citizens of India will be stronger then ever. Many of those goals are hard to reach. Nothing is impossible. Someone needs to standup for those things. If no one would have raised voice against British, then we still wouldn't have been free. Everyone need to contribute a little.

Education is also important in order to succeed in life. Public education need to be improved. Create public school system where students are educate from the peoples taxes. There are many girls and boys who are unable to study because their parents cannot afford to pay the school fees.If public school system is created then everyone will be able to study for free because the money comes from the tax. This will help out every one a lot.

If regular police are unable to do their job, then create a new police department that specliaze in protecting girls. First girls need to safe, if they are not safe in the first place, then they won't be able to study

But what most family are scared of is their daughter will not be safe. Many parents are afraid that their daughter will get raped and harassed. In order to educate women, first they need to safe. In many parts of India it is not safe for girls to get out after sometime. Every citizen of India has the same right. All people are created equal. Then why it is unsafe for girls to got out late at night. More police force need to be deployed in the unsafe areas.

November 07: Added a Post Respected P.M of India, I would like to congratulate you on Beti Bacho Beti Padhao abhiyan. I would love the program that you have created for the current and future women of the india. In order for the program to move forward, first we need to respect women. Many families kill their new born girl because they think, girls will not move their generation and name ahead, while boys will. They are also scared to pay dowries to their future life partner and their family.
