The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

Gender inequality has been one of the major factor of concern since ages in our country. After independence, amongst all the great achievements and developments our country has undergone, the thing which till now hasn't changed and needs to the taken care of is changing the social construct against the girl child. Till now girls face problems and discrimination in their education, career, status in society, independence in decision making and other things. We need to join hands against this evil

It is a good initiative.........Government of India should implement rules regarding all Indian languages should be taught at School as well as University level in all states of India in form of Certificate courses (6 month) and Diploma courses (1year). It will be a better suggestion for getting Jobs as well as learning all languages of India. It will reduce the distance between states of India.

We have right laws already in place to prevent gender discrimination. We have to now enforce this law from grass root level through media from grass root level i.e homes.

We can see development in almost every sector if a girl child is educated. Employment level will increase, heinous crimes against women will decline as she will become more assertive and confident enough to say' NO'.
