Life Skills - Through Films. Good Films like many of the National Award Winning Films should be shown via film festivals in every school and colleges every year. Today we have such technology. Rural and semi urban students loose the most currently. Films are a good medium to absorb values, thoughts, ideas, learning and entertainment.

EDUCATION SHOULD BE MEANT FOR THE REAL LIFE NOT MERELY FOR QUALIFICATIONS. TODAY'S EDUCATION SYSTEM CONCENTRATE MORE ON PRODUCING QUALIFIED PERSONS, BUT INDIA DESPERATELY NEED PERSONS WHO UNDERSTAND AND CARES OTHERS PROBLEMS AND DIFFICULTIES. THIS KIND OF SOCIETY CAN BE CREATED AND DEVELOPED MAINLY THROUGH BY IMPARTING PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMMES AT SCHOOL LEVEL AND THEREBY IMBIBING ETHICS AMONG STUDENTS.

Last week, I read a nice article about the comparison of Indian Education system and German education system. The link to article is : http://www.loksatta.com/vishesh-news/india-in-german-textbooks-1098572/?nopagi=1 This is from Marathi news paper Loksatta. The article tells how the education system in Germany makes student 'think' and express their opinions. Current education system just focuses on marks and percentages. The true understanding of subjects & practical skills are ignored.
