Our students need to have a holistic development which cannot be achieved only through information and instruction. Knowledge needs sensitization to values, ethics, appreciating arts, physical education, sports and life skills. This theme invites views and suggestions for concrete methods and tools for integration of sports, physical education, arts and crafts, functional skills for livelihood and value education in school curriculum.

Our primary school education should equip our children with permanent skills so that they become internationally competitive. Proposals - 1. School should stress on high speed of reading and writing, A class 06 child should be able to read at least 500 words/min with full understanding of text. 2. School should introduce daily classes one each for Yoga, PT, IQ, Abacus system of oral calculation, skill development training after curtailing existing periods and syllabus. 3. Marks for sports

Students involved in secondary education should get into act and help illiterate people around their schoo n this can be added as their project which may help them to improve their teaching interacting and many more life skills. I had a elaborate scheme over this idea too

Please make "LIFE SCIENCE" as one subject which should be taught atleast 3 hour in a week & should be given equal priority with subjects like maths from KG to all levels of education. This "Life science" subject should be a comprehensive subject covering all required for great life for common man not technologies/maths/science/language but moral education,self discipline,leading healthy life,yoga,musuc,art,self protection,life skills etc.same syllabus throughout india for all school/college.

life skills can be taught for improvement of daily life. simple HOUSEHOLD CHORES should be made part of curriculum from the very beggining

Thank you for this opportunity and hope we can see actual changes based on suggestions from citizens for a better future. 1. Moral Science - Mandatory till 12th grade - Equality, respect, self-respect, honesty, etc. 2. Sex Education - 9th to 12th Grade - Good touch/Bad Touch, Respect, What and How. 3. Nature Studies - Mandatory till 12th Grade - Gardening, Animals & Plants, farming/agriculture 4. Extreme Survival - Survival techniques on land, water and war situations

Thank you for the opportunity to share views. 1. There should be only one board through out the nation. 2. Heritage tours must be made compulsory. It can be sponsored by corporates 3. Books on Art forms, architecture, history of states/districts must be written and supplied to students. 4. Students should be taught to be proud of their country. 5. 1. There should be tours that teach children about the heritage, culture, architecture, art forms and history of their state/district. 2. This syllubus has to be district-based because the history and architecture of every district is unique. 3. On-site tours and education thorough videos and slides must be the mode of teaching 4. This will inculcate great sense of pride in the culture and history of the nation in the child. 5. This will remove lack of pride of nation in the children

1. Bhagwat Geeta should be taught in schools, as a part of Moral Science subject. 2. Physical training similar to military training should be made compulsory in all schools. 3. Judo/Karate class should be made compulsory for girls in schools and colleges. 4. Creative science should be introduced as a subject.
