There should be no limit to education. 1-Government should remove age limit for admission in courses. 2-People should be allowed to opt for any number of degrees. 3-Grant admission in under graduation, post graduation course through entrance test not by merit because there is no standard marking pattern across country. 4- Give concession or fee waiver to economically weaker section and those students who don't have their father. 5-Introduce admission option for Eunuchs as well.

In West Bengal, I would say that KHARAGPUR is the most suitable candidate for the project of "Smart Cities". It is not as glamorous as Kolkata, Durgapur, Asansol or Siliguri, but is quite a performing city with vibrant industrial and urban culture. It is the city of many languages and religions, do not have political violence and the law and order situation is much improved now. I suggest that turn the entire Kharagpur subdivison into a city and emphasise on industry, business and education.

Indian texts and texts dignifying Indian thinkers/philosophy should get central position in general academia, as advocated in African context by N'gugi. India has thousands year of civilization, scientific thinking, philosophy; where else will be honoured if not in Indian syllabus ? Our syllabus should dignify "Indian way of life" without naming any religion explicitly. Suggestions can be taken from Indian post-colonial educationists like G. Spivak, H. Bhaba, R. Guha, G. Viswanathan etc.

In the book 'Mask For Conquest', Gauri Viswanathan shows how Britishers, to popularize Christian/Western ideals among Indians and remove us from age old tradition, added select canonical English literature which implicitly upheld their ideals & established high morals for themselves, encouraging voluntary study of Bible which continues till today. Idealistic new govt is expected to re-establish "Indian way of life" in syllabus & every sphere using similar tactics, avoiding criticism.

I would like to share ideas for revamping Teacher Education. Any school stands of three pillars. They are 1.Method/curriculum of the school.2. Teacher of the school. 3. Ambiance of the school. so we have to shape our teachers with best preschool education first.Every teacher should not only have a B.Ed degree but also an experience of at least 1 year of Classroom teaching for preschoolers. There she has to learn classroom handling skills, being creative, being alert, having a down to earth approach.

Introduction of civic sense is important in the education in order to make sure that the people understand how to live in peace and harmony, follow the disciplines, do not harm others in any way be it physically or mentally.
