The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) sent a reference dated 22nd August 2019, seeking recommendations of TRAI on reserve prices for 283 cities (260 new + 23 existing), under FM Phase-III Policy.

Accordingly, this Consultation Paper has been prepared to seek the comments/views of the stakeholders on the issues related to estimation of the reserve prices for auction of FM Radio channels.

As part of the consultative process, the Consultation Paper has been uploaded on the TRAI website. Written comments on the consultation paper are invited from the stakeholders by 6th November 2019. Counter-comments, if any, may be submitted by 13th November 2019.

SW & MW in remote areas on first radio used to catch even barely but since when did FM start It has broughty about a change in the lives of people like a revolution where earlier countries used to hear news from abroad. The same has been conveyed to FM from its field of information and knowledge what is needed is to use it more thoroughly such as finding scientific and traditional solution to the problems of the same region on FM or promoting regional FM or promoting regional culture etc. Thank

I would like to have kids dedicated channels. Where they can call and discuss their problems, experience and ideas. Music for poor kids ,quizzes, creating talent from village kids Only woman channels for empowering women. Health care and guidance during pregnancy, puberty, and menopause ,breast cancer awareness etc from gynecologists and related doctors. General science and technology channels are good to have.

To continue with my previous request to our govt.i would like to add -to release more frequencies to the private fm radio stations in metro A+ cities soon and not just limiting to 9 fm channels,to encourage more fm channels which would attract more listeners and programme varieties.

Dear respected all,thanks to the govt for planning to expand private fm radio to every citizen of India.In context of changing private fm radio landscape and popularity it is my request to ministry of informationand broadcasting to please allow and give total freedom to private fm radio to broadcast news and current affairs on their own soon and not depend on all india radio news which will give freedom to the medium and help in multiplicity in views and opinion which is most imortant.thanks.
