The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) sent a reference dated 22nd August 2019, seeking recommendations of TRAI on reserve prices for 283 cities (260 new + 23 existing), under FM Phase-III Policy.

Accordingly, this Consultation Paper has been prepared to seek the comments/views of the stakeholders on the issues related to estimation of the reserve prices for auction of FM Radio channels.

As part of the consultative process, the Consultation Paper has been uploaded on the TRAI website. Written comments on the consultation paper are invited from the stakeholders by 6th November 2019. Counter-comments, if any, may be submitted by 13th November 2019.

In regard with reservation system, i would like to suggest an idea. Reservation is effecting general cast people very much. The reservation iwas implimplimented to empower the lower cast people. My suggestion is that the benifiet of reservation for sc/st/obc should be limitized to one time. If a person from a sc/st/obc family gets a job,it should be his/her duty there after to empower thier family. Once a family uses reservation benifet, that family should be shifted to general cast.

The first phase of FM radio broadcasting (Phase-I) was launched by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) in 1999. During Phase-I auction, a total of 108 channels in 40 cities were offered to private agencies in the FM spectrum band (88 – 108 MHz). mechanism was followed to award these permissions. The permission for operation of the channel was awarded for a period of 10 years. Out of 108 channels, bid amount was paid only for 37 channels. Of these 37 channels,

Dear PM, infinite pranams, , AIR SHOULD have an exclusive channels for Carnatic music, Bhajans, Satsangs, Srimad Bhagavatham, 24 x 7 , 365 days enabling senior citizen to have user Friendly radio for happy life. My father, aged 90 is not tech savvy, yesters years Carnatic music concerts will be enjoyed.
