The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) sent a reference dated 22nd August 2019, seeking recommendations of TRAI on reserve prices for 283 cities (260 new + 23 existing), under FM Phase-III Policy.

Accordingly, this Consultation Paper has been prepared to seek the comments/views of the stakeholders on the issues related to estimation of the reserve prices for auction of FM Radio channels.

As part of the consultative process, the Consultation Paper has been uploaded on the TRAI website. Written comments on the consultation paper are invited from the stakeholders by 6th November 2019. Counter-comments, if any, may be submitted by 13th November 2019.

AIR home service comprises 420 stations located across the country, reaching nearly 92% of the country's area and 99.9% of the total population.

I love old type Radio channels. and system of smooth voice broadcasting and news chanals. which does not disturb our concentration like present different type of Radio/tv chanels. still people in interior tiny small villages r hearing and depending and enjoying by keeping old radio system and happy themselves. So every govt. planning should reach to this type small tiny villages through this type of radio broadcasting diff. languages. Once again Goodluck to Radio channel.

Radio Signals are very poor at all township and villages, during travelling people can listen the Radio. Which can be a good for health and country youngster to move and get the benefit of all government schemes. Most youngster are not listening the audios and podcast due to the radio signals are very week. And during signal lost there are chances of hearing problem due to harm sound of unclear sound. Also, govt needs to think about price for FM and AM will less.

aaj ke yug mein BFM ka bahut mahatva hai bahut sare log aaj bhi FM ka istemal karte hain aur mananiy pradhanmantri ji bhi har Man ki last tarikh ravivar ko Mann ki baat radio karykram se Hi karte Hain FM radio in the best old and gold best apne apne program akashvani kisanon ke liye Jo padh nahin sakti likh nahin sakte unki liye radio aaj ki duniya mein mahatva purn hissa hai aur iska upyog aane wali pidhi bhi karegi kyunki radio 1 sugam aur sasta sath hi aur isko ham kabhi bhi aur kahin le ja

This comes after the Information & Broadcasting Ministry sought TRAI’s recommendation on reserve prices for auction of radio frequencies in 283 cities to expand private FM radio across the country. This includes 23 existing cities where the government has auctioned private FM radio frequencies in the previous batches, while 260 cities will see auction of private FM radio frequencies for the first time.
