The Ministry of Labour and Employment is implementing the National Career Service (NCS) as a Mission Mode Project for establishing a network of Career Centres for providing a variety of employment related services. These Career Centres will be the main outreach centres for the National Career Service Project. In this project, a National portal is also being developed to facilitate registration of job-seekers, job providers, intermediaries etc. and provide job matching services in a transparent manner. These facilities alongwith career counselling content will be delivered by the portal through multiple channels like Career Centres, helpdesk, mobile devices, CSCs etc.

The Ministry seeks to position the National Career Service as a one-stop platform for all employment and career related services. It seeks suggestions from the public, youth, students, Research Institutes, Industry Associations, Academia, Industry etc.forCareer Centres on the indicative areas listed below:

a. Branding of Career Centres: A name and tagline communicating the objectives with particular focus on provision of employment and counselling related services to the youth of the country

b. Coverage of Career Centre: Geographical catchment, Sectoral thrust, Special focus groups, Women and youth centric

c. Implementation Agency for Career Centres: Academia (schools, colleges, universities etc), Industry, Industry Associations, Governmental organisations

d. Services to be offered: Jobseeker registration, Employer registration and job posting, Career counselling, aptitude assessment, Job matching, Information on availability of courses at educational institutions, training providers, Guidance on self-employment and entrepreneurship.

e. Technology Platformfor NCS: Linkage with Aadhaar/Bank accounts to meet KYC norms, Integration with other large databases, Verification of certificates and credentials.

f. Network of Career Counsellors: By linking career counsellors in schools, colleges and universities toprovide professionalcounselling.

g. Involvement of Civil Society, NGOs, CBOs and self-help groups.

h. Local Service Providers through Career Centres: Directory of Local service providers like drivers, plumbers, electricians etc.

i. Career Content Knowledge Repository: A searchable and updated database of skills based content in multiple media formats for easy access.

j. Revenue model for Career Centres to ensure sustainability.

k. Public Outreach Strategies.

Most suitable and innovative entries will be rewarded by a cash prize by the Ministry.

The last date for submission of entries is 31st March, 2015.

Website http://www.shiksha.com is doing a good job in crowd sourcing career counseling to student, a good rating system for career counselor has been developed, government can follow similar approach. Use government itself as leverage. Government employs on its payroll all kind of people, driver ,plumber , electrician etc, they should develop video, printed content to acts as career guide.

Self-employment schemes for the unemployed youth have to be launched to enable them to start their own business or small-scale firm, which can also generate employment for many others. Providing temporary work for those who have lost employment.

The only aim of Career Centre should be to empower Indians. Youths are base of development for a developing country with innovative minds and positive attitudes. The Career Centre must help them to do something for Country. Career Centre should act as an Unique platform for all. Registration of all individuals and organizations should be mandatory. The youth of our country need be presented with opportunities of training and skill-development. That would be a challenging task before the proposed Career Centres. FOR A CHANGE, WE SHOULD DISCARD THE TENDENCY TO ALWAYS CONTINUE CURSING RISING POPULATION, TAKING IT AS STUMBLING BLOCK IN THE GROWTH STORY OF THE COUNTRY. WE SHOULD TRY OUR HANDS AT STRATEGISING TO CONVERTING OUR RISING NUMBERS INTO ASSETS. IF WE COULD DO SO, WE SHALL BE CREATING AN ARMY OF WARRIORS WTITING GROWTH STORY OF NATION

...if it is healthy.Its is to say that child labour is crime but nobody solves the reason behind it.in these centers we can remove this kind of hurdels in our country development.LOCATION-eg: where i live there are 4-5 gov schools nerby eachother including primary and higher level and a polotechnic college. i think these type of place could be good for these centers.

...properly stteled his career and can decrease his stress.(4)There could be a course related to thrash to cash(recycling plant) because no body is aware about career in this field.As what 23year old Mrinmoyee Naskar of east Kolkata has done and by thi we could move forward with the aim of swach bharat.(6)What i actually means is that there is a need of a career centers which care about young generation in geting him agood employment but keep him stress free because india is young but its good..

back to studies because still underage children are doing labour in India.(3)this center could be helpful for thoes student eg:who want have passed 10th and are from farming back ground can learn modern farming and contineu their studies with it.(4)Include cources for eg:computer cources say 3 month course and compulsury 45days training with it or 1 year course with 6 month training.(5)This centers could be helpful in understanding why the registered candidate geting low salary or not yet......
