Career centers can be managed ideally by the local academia and local industrial bodies. Academics engaged in career centers should interact with industry and then use pedagogy to suitably structure courses. E-Learning should be encouraged for theory and practical training should be conducted at the shop floors of locally available enterprises.

Local academia and local industry should be grouped together to match skills requirement to training courses available locally. Skill gaps, especially for brown collar and blue collar jobs may be addressed through curriculum restructuring and the plans should be reviewed annually. Local industry need not sponsor training, but may be able to offer placement fees to the career service center, which can then be apportioned to training institutes that helped the resource build the requisite skill.

NCS should be a all India network under central govt. Existing employment exchange have Employment Market Information system which can be used. the officers of the NCS should be trained sufficiently and frequently. They should be send to different factory, particularly HR department so that the officers have practical knowledge of work.

Career centers to have a toll free number so that instant problems/ suggestions/ideas and proper directions can be given to the youth... there should be a national toll free number in many languages to cater to the needs.... these call centers to be set up in government colleges and universities so that no extra cost is spent on infrastructure....

India maybe lagging behind many western countries in terms of Digital Development, but the need of the hour is not technological advancement but a better economy and a safer country for women and kids. Technology should be used as a tool for the help. India is still at primitive stages of development in IT and Software. The only way to catch up with that is we solve the problems, one at a time.

In my opinion name of these career centre’s may be ‘UDAAN’ (उड़ान) and tag line may be ‘ek kadam unnati ki aur ‘(एक कदम उन्नति की ओर) or ‘har hath unnati’ (हर हाथ उन्नति). These centres must be easily accessible by rural and urban populations, there has to be one centre per 5-6 lakhs population. There has to be some special arrangements for rural population in terms of proximity it may be within reach of rural population, say about 8-10 kilometres.
