The Ministry of Labour and Employment is implementing the National Career Service (NCS) as a Mission Mode Project for establishing a network of Career Centres for providing a variety of employment related services. These Career Centres will be the main outreach centres for the National Career Service Project. In this project, a National portal is also being developed to facilitate registration of job-seekers, job providers, intermediaries etc. and provide job matching services in a transparent manner. These facilities alongwith career counselling content will be delivered by the portal through multiple channels like Career Centres, helpdesk, mobile devices, CSCs etc.

The Ministry seeks to position the National Career Service as a one-stop platform for all employment and career related services. It seeks suggestions from the public, youth, students, Research Institutes, Industry Associations, Academia, Industry etc.forCareer Centres on the indicative areas listed below:

a. Branding of Career Centres: A name and tagline communicating the objectives with particular focus on provision of employment and counselling related services to the youth of the country

b. Coverage of Career Centre: Geographical catchment, Sectoral thrust, Special focus groups, Women and youth centric

c. Implementation Agency for Career Centres: Academia (schools, colleges, universities etc), Industry, Industry Associations, Governmental organisations

d. Services to be offered: Jobseeker registration, Employer registration and job posting, Career counselling, aptitude assessment, Job matching, Information on availability of courses at educational institutions, training providers, Guidance on self-employment and entrepreneurship.

e. Technology Platformfor NCS: Linkage with Aadhaar/Bank accounts to meet KYC norms, Integration with other large databases, Verification of certificates and credentials.

f. Network of Career Counsellors: By linking career counsellors in schools, colleges and universities toprovide professionalcounselling.

g. Involvement of Civil Society, NGOs, CBOs and self-help groups.

h. Local Service Providers through Career Centres: Directory of Local service providers like drivers, plumbers, electricians etc.

i. Career Content Knowledge Repository: A searchable and updated database of skills based content in multiple media formats for easy access.

j. Revenue model for Career Centres to ensure sustainability.

k. Public Outreach Strategies.

Most suitable and innovative entries will be rewarded by a cash prize by the Ministry.

The last date for submission of entries is 31st March, 2015.

Job providers like Employment Exchanges,Public Service Commissions and Diploma awarding Universities etc shall also be linked to the portal to work as a single window approach for candidates seeking job/placement.Overseas employment promotion, shall also be objective.Link with the proposed National Document Repository can make the service very helpful to the job aspirants.Career Guidance and Counseling may be provided at state wise centers and through online.

Depending upon one's inborn talent and potential, education and career should be choose. Inborn skills can be utilizes to maximum level if known at earlier stage by doing DMIT and other psychometric analysis.It will be easier if, every individual have certain professional skills along with degree.

very transparent initiative but govt should work on the salary given by employer it is very low as compare to market rate . yes this is true that this will help for employment of youth but salary is also a major concern.

Work - 1. सामान्य योग्यता ,रुचि के आधार पर तकनीकी प्रशिक्षण, जैसे- सामान्य ग्रेजुएट को प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं हेतु तैयार करना 2. तकनीकी शिक्षा,जैसे इंजीनियरिंग, मेडिकल प्राप्त कर चुके स्थानीय युवाओं के लिए प्रारम्भिक प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम (internship ) 3. अशिक्षित युवाओं के लिए व्यावसायिक प्रशिक्षण ,जैसे- लघु उद्योग और सामानों की मरम्मत संबंधी 4. इसके अलावा प्रशिक्षण में तार्किक क्षमता के विकास पर बल दिया जाए। 5. केंद्र से direct placement की व्यवस्था करना भी उचित रहेगा । इसमें स्थानीय संस्था, संगठनों की मदद ली जाए। 6. BPL युवाओं के लिए आरक्षण की व्यवस्था ।

It is always how the skill sets acquired during schooling can be effectively used. There should a matrix that would publish skills required in the country and the demand for such skills. This is more like providing the right resource and ensuring that the country has enough resources to address the gap. For example if there is a need for Nurses, there should be mechanism for the end users to know that Nursing is an area that provides opportunities to get employed. This is an important input

1) Connect them centrally to a main computer. 2) Beam guidance videos 3) Let each centre have about fifty computers for use of job seeking persons 4) Let them take printouts for free or for a token fee 5) Conduct aptitude tests via these centres of colleges and let them seek approporiate jobs.

As per me the name of these career centers should be "Adarsh Jeevan Aayam". The centers should be opened at Tehsil Level so that every body can have the proper access to them and can be guided well to make the life better and can set the better Aayam for his or her life.

all govt high school and inter college open the career center and the teacher take responsibility to give the career knowledge. some teacher teach the subjects whose marks do not add in mark sheet . better work in these centers.
