Instead of making foot over bridges in stations, we should make subways/underbridges to cross over to the platforms. They should be ramp based/elevator based instead of staircases. People will prefer them more than the footover bridges. I have seen this happening in coimbatore station, may be a study can be done on this aspect.

GOVT.spends a huge amount of money in constructing foot over bridges but still people cross the railway lines just to save time and energy.Few idea to prevent deaths due to trespassing can be:
1.FENCING along the railway lines so as to prevent trespassing.
2.CONSTRUCTION of escalators in place of normal FOB at places with huge rush.
3.Increasing the amount of fine on trespassing and stictly applying the present laws against trespassing.
4.Issuing ads n making people aware

Hello!
Can we update our announcement of train running status by adding late reason with existing lines? We can also add the station name and its reason for late. I know it will not make any change in your system, but it will create a responsibility for railway towards the public. So if the reason is genuine and acceptable people will also understand. It will minimize the unacceptable issues of late running. Getting late in train is a major problem and should be minimized to zero.
