While India tries desperately to improve its friendly image, it is widely perceived as a safe haven for CHILD ABDUCTION. Much to the dismay of the U.S. and other Western nations, India has resisted ratifying the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, which has about 80 signatories that enable prompt return of abducted children back to their homes.
Indian Govt should immediately become a signatory of Hague, so that such gross misuse of human life can stop.
