The digital world has become an essential part of our daily lives—whether it’s social media, online shopping, digital banking, or gaming. Along with these opportunities come new risks such as Investment Scam, Instant Loan, Part time job, Trading, Sextortion, Courier Fraud, Digital Arrest, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS).

To build a safer online community, Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens to join the Digital Safety Dialogue. This open discussion is a space for sharing personal experiences, safety tips, and community practices that help protect against cyber threats. By learning from each other, we can strengthen digital safety awareness and promote secure online behavior for all.

Your inputs will help create a collective pool of ideas and practices that can be used to spread awareness and guide citizens towards building a Cybercrime-free Digital Bharat.

name: Bhagavnth School: gangama High School state:Karnataka Character 1 (Rahul):* Hey, I've been noticing some suspicious emails in my inbox. How can I stay safe online? *Character 2 (Samantha):* That's a great question, Rahul! First, always verify the sender's email address. Scammers often use fake emails that look similar to real ones. *Rahul:* That's a good tip. What about passwords? I've been using the same one for all my accounts. *Samantha:* Oh no, that's not a good idea! Use strong, unique passwords for each account, and consider enabling two-factor authentication. It adds an extra layer of security. *Rahul:* Got it! What about public Wi-Fi? Is it safe to use? *Samantha:* Public Wi-Fi isn't the most secure. Avoid accessing sensitive information or making financial transactions when using public Wi-Fi. Consider using a VPN for added protection. *Rahul:* Thanks for the advice! I'll be more careful from now on. *Samantha:* You're welcome! Staying safe online is important.

In my view, digital safety is one of the most important needs of our time. The internet gives us knowledge, entertainment, and opportunities, but it also carries risks like cyberbullying, fraud, and misuse of personal information. Every individual should use the digital space responsibly by protecting their passwords, avoiding the sharing of private details, and thinking carefully before posting online. Respect and kindness should guide our online behavior, because just like in real life, words and actions on the internet also have consequences. Parents, teachers, and communities have a strong role in guiding the younger generation to use technology wisely. I believe that if we develop safe digital habits and remain aware of cyber threats, we can make the digital world a positive and secure space for everyone.

Here is a dialogue about digital safety, featuring a conversation between a father and his teenage daughter.Characters:Maya: A 15-year-old who is active on social media.David: Maya’s father.(Scene: The living room. Maya is on her phone, smiling. David walks in.)David: What's making you smile?Maya: I’m just messaging a new friend, Alex. We met in a fan group for that show I like. Alex is really cool and lives in a nearby city.David: It’s great that you're making new friends with similar interests. Just be sure you're being careful about the information you share online.Maya: Dad, I know. I don't tell anyone my address or phone number.David: That's a good start, but it's more than that. Even sharing your school's name or the places you regularly hang out can give strangers too much information. Some people online aren't who they claim to be.Maya: I guess. I just put my profile on private, so it should be fine.David: That’s a smart move. Setting your profile to private is one of the best

🌟 *HAPPY DUSSEHRA!* 🌟 The festival of Dussehra celebrates the victory of good over evil. But in 2025, the “New Age Ravana” is not in Lanka—it’s online! In the age of the internet and social media, cyber threats lurk everywhere, disguised as harmless messages, links, or personas. Just like *Lord Ram defeated Ravana* with alertness and timely action, we too can fight cyber crimes by staying aware and taking smart action. Let’s unite this Dussehra to fight cybercrime and stay safe online! ✨

Digital safety idea introduced by Government of India is very useful to people. Still some highly educated become the victims. I personally verify three or four time whether i open a mail or not received from unknown persons. Congratulations Government of India.
