Dear Citizens and Stakeholders

Our city “Kanpur” selected for ROUND-2 under Smart City Mission. At present, Kanpur is in the process of preparing the revised Smart City Proposal. Therefore your valuable suggestions are solicited to revise the Smart City Proposal of Kanpur City for Round-2 submission to Government of India (GoI).
After a lot of deliberation among Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) official and the citizens of Kanpur, during Citizen’s Engagement Round - 1, Smart City Proposal for Kanpur included:
1. PAN City proposal
2. Area based development

So, we invite all citizens of Kanpur to participate in this review process where they can share their suggestions to help KMC reformulate the Smart City Proposal in Smart City Mission Round-2 challenge the links of which have been provided underneath and submit your valuable suggestions here within 30/04/2016.

trees should be plant not only along the roads but also in front of every house, government organization, private organization and in every area where it will be possible

Considering the existing scenario of Public transport, it is very important to increase the bus fleet with more number of bus routes plying in all parts of the city. A city bus running within the city with high frequency S, off-board ticketing and route information etc. will enhance the usage of public transport to a great extent.

he proposals for KANPUR City are specific and address the subjects and issues discussed in previous MyGov events. Implementation of these proposals, specially the area based proposals , will bring a change in city's character. kanpur seems to be a strong competitor in Smart City Challenge and it can be seen through the solutions proposed for various sectors.

This is a good step to make a smart city but I think should be fulfill basic need to first among all proposal smart city .
