The issue of social access and equity are far too complex. While the gaps in average enrolments between disadvantaged groups like SC, ST, Muslims, girls and Children with special needs and the general population have decreased, there is still a considerably large gap in learning levels with historically disadvantaged and economically weaker children having significantly lower learning outcomes. Large and growing learning gaps threaten the equity gains achieved on the enrolment front because children with lower levels of learning are more likely to drop out. We need to examine current interventions in bridging the gender and social gaps and identify focused strategies for effective inclusion.

Let All School Advertise/Report the number of children with special needs that they have taken in. Let them advertise the various non academic skills that they are providing for the children. Permit children to attend classes flexibly according to their abilities. Two types of X pass certificates can be given, one for the mainstream and one for those who have studied the flexible syllabus - this is done in the USA

Prohibit Schools from Advertising themselves on the Day of Results, with the names of the top percentage scorers. Prohibit advertisement of percentage of marks scored. Stop Ranking and start giving individualized assessment results, which highlights each students strengths in various areas, like number skills, language skills, etc. This will help children with special needs to get really included and they will develop a better self esteem, and become productive members of society..

Respected Modi Ji, A lot of buzz since respected Smriti Irani ji took over the huge responsibility. My suggestion is to make a policy to recycle books (private and public school both). Student pays part of books cost as rent (say 30% of book value) for an year (full charges for lost/damaged books). next year books given to next batch (duly senitized) After 4 years books given to charity schools. With this we can save lots of trees and motivate poor sector for education. All the best!

The concept of sessional marks should be removed education system. Most of the institutions do not justify with this. Most of the times the student who is close enough to the teachers gets good marks instead of the student who is more intelligent. Even the teacher who is not qualified enough to answer all the queries of students use this tool against them and pressurise students to obey him and respect him. This system is creating servants not the entrepreneurs.

There is a general tendency of comparision amongst students. Not only the teacher's but also parents and students themselves compare the children to brighter students in the class. Due to this less fortunate children are demotivated. Not only the children but even parents start feeling like, why send the child to school if he cannot cope up with others. Most of the times this is the main reason for drop outs. India is a country with vast diversities,& hence Inclusive Education is not practical.

All state's technical universities should follow same reservation policy, whereas other state universities follow "state domicile" and "state students" both category in reservation, THIS IS NOT CASE WITH DELHI. I.P. UNIVERSITY AND D.T.U. follow only "delhi students" policy-this covers "delhi students" of any domicile studying in Delhi , but EXCLUDE "delhi domicile" but OTHER state school studying students in NCR school. Many delhi students study in NCR school as dont get admission in Delhi .

It should be made mandatory for all parents to enroll their girl child in school else they should not get any Govt Benifits. Also it is necesary to have minimum common education orogram all over India which will ensure all the children get same education throughout country.

The habit of maintaining a diary should be developed among our children. It should be made a part of the extra curriculum activity in all schools. Every child studying from (say) 6th standard should be asked to keep a diary of their daily activities. Such a habit would certainly improve their thinking process and writing skills.
