Constructing energy efficient buildings. Maximizing the usage of daylight, but not increasing the inside temperature by using specially designed glasses for this purpose, thereby reducing the artificial lighting and not increasing the AC load. Using solar energy for generation of electricity to make the building self sufficient. Using LED lamps Using occupancy sensors so that the lights and fans do not run when no body is present in that area of office

Dear Sir, I am resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. We are having such a beautiful sabarmati riverfront thanks to you. A matter of concern i want to inform you that for whole night lights and decorations are being kept on which is wasting too much electricity. Why it is not being solar powered? There is too much open space available to install solar panels on riverfront and even each lights should be installed with solar panel. It would save lots of electricity and you can forward benefit to ppl.

Why not we have english / langauge lessons in schools on energy conservation instead of imaginary stories. Conserving energy is not about only technology but also mindset.

Dear Friends, I understand that LED bulbs are more costly at present. But some one has to start it When we can but a newly launched costly mobile phone which gets much cheaper later on then we can definitely buy a costly LED bulb. And unless we buy it, it will not become cheaper. Let us all moderate financially abled people replace our CFL bulbs with LED bulbs. Remember to buy LED of 1/3rd power rating to CFL. For better intensity you can also go for 1/2 power rating to currently used CFL bulbs
