Well I would definitely say HVAC systems are important. A time frame should be available for companies to start and end their work days to save energy. Many people in this discussion are requesting solar energy which should be a plus considering that India is intense with heat and the sun. Have inspectors check the gas and heating once a month. Depending on the amount of electricity consumed the bill should go up to conserve energy and to make sure that everyone is on the same level.

For human capital intensive firms, disclosure of per capita consumption of energy, and Environmental rating based on same data to be assigned.

Day light saving is the most efficient way to bring energy saving in most of the govt. offices. The office hours should be suitably modified so that maximum day light could be used

We can find 40 years aged generation/50/60/70/80 years generations active in day to day life. But honestly most & part of these generations cannot understand what is energy conservation since did not study & not part of their syllabus. There should be short syllabus upto 12th standard & detailed syllabus(all disciplines) in graduation level atleast to make real progress in this regard & may change the mentality of each individual of future generations.

Use of solar energy is a good method but its very costly approach so whats my opinion is to try using alternatives for example in villages there will be the availability of wastes so they can utilize this as their primary and start to contribute. In the whole what i mean is we need to go for energy conservation depending on the best availability of the resource with us. Next is not wasting too much of electricity,water etc...i appreciate ganesh ji, pritam ji and anand ji views

Yes, energy efficiency can be brought up in all offices.Good ventilation for proper air and light in the premises.Car pooling instead of their own vehicles.Office transport should be made compulsory.Building should follow the green code in construction using eco friendly items.Care should be taken in the utilization of electrical and electronic accessories and peripherals in office like ACs , coffee vending machines, lights,lifts(prime concern)...the idea of solar power is inevitable.
