One of the biggest electricity consumers in a new building is Air-conditioning systems and we need to educate people to use at least 4 star rated equipments. Also we can plan our building designs in such a way that we can do maximum utilization of day light. Energy saved is energy generated!

Sir, we have already sent through post about concept report of multi purpose project of water ways from hassan (karnataka) to chennai (tamil nadu) via bangalore and semandhra and drinking, filling of 10000 tanks and micro irrigation in 9 district's of central karnataka and development of industries, tourism and township.The waterways is benifited 3 states of length 830km run on the states of karnataka, seemandhra and tamil nadu. In India it is socially and economically benefited.

Always have 30% open area....& 10& glass area in all the rooms of every building . In day time we can save electricity ,hence making electricity efficient cities. Give sufficient open space between all the blocks & wide roads so that not only we will have electricity efficient cities but attractive cities too.

govt need to provide LED bulbs to all govt offices to replace incandecent/CFL. by using light sensors v can make all lights glow in darkness only.

A lot is done in other countries. Along with adoption of appropriate conservation technologies, the policy makers should sponsor research and application studies for large-scale adoption to hit the central objective.

Lot of small efforts can add up to energy conservation. Following traffic rules is one of them. Wrong parking on road, driving rash, not following lane discipline creates jams especially in big cities and we do waste a lot of fuel in these jams. As responsible citizen of the country I pledge to follow them.
