1) Conduct energy audits for buildings older than 10 years, 2) Retrofit/ replace old equipments with newer energy efficient equipments, 3) Mandatory purchase only star rated, by BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency), electrical gadgets, 4) Government should ban the products, which are spurious and not star rated, 5) The property tax levied by the local bodies can be reduced for a more energy efficient building to encourage the practice of energy efficient buildings. 1. Improve awareness amongst users in these buildings. 2. Switch to LED lighting. 3. Utilise natural resources like sunlight, natural cooling, wind energy, bio energy; all can be generated within bldg premises as suitable. 4. Limit lifts to odd/even floors. Encourage use of stairs. 5. Upgrade to power saving equipment. 6. Make green certification mandatory for new buildings. 7. Use terraces for solar energy panels, solar lighting in exterior premises.

Many lights and fans are ON even when not required. Hoardings should be seen everywhere indicating the volume of energy that can be saved if the entire india switches off one light or fan. It makes difference in the mind of a person.

Every time American businesses ask for concessions and amendments in Indian law. We have accommodated many time at the cost of other businesses or interest. We request the Govt not to accommodate. Let them follow Indian laws and let there be level playing field by all. No special treatment or status for american business be it nuclear civil liability law or intellectual property law or other areas

Automation is the must for energy conservation, i.e motion sensors in offices, timers to control on-off schedules for street lights, etc required. The team of energy professionals has to be made at every city of India to make a plan, maintenance, suggestions and policy planning. Strict rules and regulations to be made to follow the policies made by Energy professionals like BEE.

LED installation is a great way of saving but even wastage control during non usage or over usage needs to be checked in. We are capable of controlling this by putting Human Sensors every 3 sq km area which will automatically out off and put on lights when human body comes and goes....we can help...pls write to me, ready to do a sample for any one office

Most of the Govt. office Buildings and Educational Institute buildings have a plenty of rooftop area. I propose to allow private businessmen to set their solar power generation plants at these unused roofs. A part of the profit may be shared to the owner . The success story of the existing solar plant holder is not known to anyone. If the businessmen may get the information about ROI of the project they will also be allured to join this business and the country do have more green energy.

Some steps--- 1. Start from your own....Examine the energy usage of your own house then think is there any way to reduce it. 2. Use energy efficient devices... LED bulbs etc 3. Spread awareness about Non-renewable energy resources. There several NGOs who deal in this. 4. One person who get any info should pass on to others...
