Many places streets lights remains illuminated during day time. Technology should be used for positively switching off of street light. Vapour or Halogen lamps of street lights should be replaced by LED progressively as it fuses. Future procurement of vapour or halogen should be stopped and only LED lamps should be procured by municipalities of the country.

Invite SEZ for national & international companies for VDIN (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Network). Then universities, colleges and schools with more than 25 Computers should be motivated to accept it. It would decrease consumption by one fourth OVER-NIGHTLY. Government should loan the amount for infrastructure. The schools electricity bill would be an average of one year. Until the entire amount is recovered. God Bless My Country.

All PSU companies IOL/IPCL/ONGC/CIL BHEL/BEML etc...and also private entities have huge space available which is unutilised. As part of saving energy/conserve energy they have to invest 2-5% of there PBT in wind or solar energy. And we have huge space available in all railway station and its facilities should be compulsory made to have solar generation facility. This way it will manage its own electricity needs and earn revenue to the entity and govt.

The government employees can be counselled/trained on importance of switching off the electrical switches, and its impact on larger scale. Once we hit the root cause, it will significantly add on to the benefits of remedies suggested below. Very simple concept: "switch off if not in use". Families and children of these employees should also be trained effectively. By watching their beloved ones, employees will voluntarily turn to good habits of saving energy.

Celebrate the year 2015 and 2016 as year of LED, make companies producing LED free from all types of taxes either Central , State and Local bodies. This will reduce the price of LED to greater extent and save enormous amount of units of electricity. Give tax holiday for solar water heater and make it compulsory for housing society ,industrial usage and any house more then 1 BHK.. Change the timing of West India and East India. and then make office hour early at 8:30 am to 4:30
