Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

When I worked overseas and in order to learn the foreign language,in addition to basic learnings, I used to watch films,documentary of that language with subtitles. It helped me to read and understand the language fast. Similar approach may be adopted at elementary stage, to show educational documentary with subtitles in schools so that students can catch the language fast. Students should be asked to read the subtitle in addition to viewing and listening.It is like fun in learning.

There are rules, there are laws to govern the education system in india, but there is no specific ministry to look and work on to the depth of the problems associated with the education. Elementry, Medium or higher level education needs o be takes care as a new born child but it is treated/neglected as "chalne do jaisa chal raha hai". The attitude of taking the education as granted is a curse to the society because one cannot expect a healthy tree by a bad seed,or unsuitable enviornment.

1.सभी सरकारी व गैर सरकारी स्कूलो मे दाखिले की एक समान आयु व समान पाठ्यक्रम हो। 2.गणित विषय को रोचकता से पढ़ाया जाए।(वैदिक गणित)

प्राथमिक शिक्षा में भाषा तथा गणित विषयों को ही पढ़ने की व्यवस्था हो| पारम्परिक शिक्षा को प्रोत्साहन देने की जरूरत है| पढाने की विधिओं में सुनना ,पढना फिर लिखना प्राथमिक शिक्षा में महत्वपूर्ण है|वर्तमान तकनीक तथा परम्पराओं का समावेश कर मूल्यों का समावेश करना प्राथमिक शिक्षा में आवश्यक है|

Primary education should be universal as is the case with all the developed countries and many developing countries, with 1) equally equipped and equally staffed schools for each and every kid 2)day boarding and special coaching facilities for those kids whose parents are unable to look after these needs of the kids concerned. These schools should enable maximum equalisation at graduation stage. this is being done by all self respecting countries; developed and developing, we must catch up.

गुरुजन बन्धुओं को चाहिए कि सबसे पहले विद्यार्थियों को शिष्टाचार का व्यावहारिक पहलू मजबूत करें ! ‘सत्यं बद्; धर्मं चर ! (सत्य बोलें और धर्म पर रहें-चलें !)’ अध्ययन का मूलमन्त्र होना चाहिये । इसकी व्यावहारिकता पर सबसे कड़ी दृष्टि होनी चाहिये ।" विद्यार्थियों में सर्वप्रथम शिष्टता एवं सदाचारिता ही कूट-कूट कर भरनी चाहिये । विद्यार्थियों के नैतिक और चारित्रिक विकास से सम्बन्धित विषय-वस्तुयें भी होनी चाहिये

अध्ययन-अध्यापन और ज्ञान पर ही समाज का पूरा भविष्य आधारित है। अध्ययन-अध्यापन और ‘ज्ञान’ समाज सुधार और जीवोद्धार तथा सुखी-सम्पन्न समाज हेतु सर्वप्रथम सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण एवं सभी के लिए ही एक अनिवार्यतः आवश्यक विधान है ।ईमान-सच्चाई-संयम-सेवा अनिवार्य होना चाहिये !विद्या को कभी भी व्यावसायिक नहीं अपितु लक्ष्यमूलक व्यावहारिक ही होना चाहिए ।यह तब ही सम्भव है जब कि ‘पिण्डऔर ब्रह्माण्ड’ की यथार्थतः जानकारी के साथ ही दोनों में आपस में ताल-मेल सन्तुलन बने-बनाये रहने वाला ही हो |

क्योंकि शिशु समाज का भावी कर्णधार होता है तथा सच्चा, ईमानदार, धार्मिक, वीर, सत्पुरुष्ष पाकर जिसमें वफादारी कूट-कूट कर भरी हो अच्छा नागरिक सरकार की सच्ची पूँजी होता है, सरकार का एकमात्र आधार होता है । सच्चा, धार्मिक, वीर, ईमानदार एवं वफादार नागरिक बनाना एवं बनाए रखने की पूरी जिम्मेदारी, पूरा-पूरा दायित्व एकमात्र सरकार पर होना चाहिए ।

Financing higher education शिशुओं के भविष्य की सारी जिम्मेदारी सरकार की होनी चाहिए । शिशु एक सच्चा,ईमानदार,त्यागी,सन्तोषी,सरकार के प्रति वफादार,सत्यभाषी एवं सदाचारी धार्मिक एवं वीर सत्पुरुष बने तथा शिशुओं का भविष्य अन्धकारमय कदापि न होने पावे, सदा ही उज्जवल बने-बना रहे । यह पूरी जिम्मेदारी सरकार की ही होनी चाहिए । सरकारी आय का कम से कम दस प्रतिशत शिशुओं के लालन-पालन, रक्षा-व्यवस्था एवं शिक्षा-दीक्षा आदि भविष्य उज्वल बनाने तथा बनाए रखने में खर्च करना चाहिए

Primary Education should be in Mother Language.In Primary Education moral values should be given.This is necessary in primary education. Yog,Physical,Ethical & Musical are important in Primary Education. There is no relation of Education with Secularism.Education should based on Dharam it means main points of the education are -------SARVE BHANTU SUKHINAH , KRIVANTU VISHWA ARYAM , MATA BHUMHI PUTROHAM PRITHIVYA These are main themes of Education.
