Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

we have extreme poor education, NGO schools area eyewash as in one class how students of different age and class can study that too by untrained teachers,if we make it necessary that all pvt schools enroll children of poor , out of school,housemaids slum children in nearby schools in "evening classes" for 3 hours in 5 class rooms of the pvt school so poor study atleast upto 5th class so that after that they join regular govt or pvt school, Pvt school have all infrastructure and money profit

Maam, Exposure to nature and culture is declining. For class 3-8, visit to zoo and gardens. For class 6-10, visit to history and science museums. For class 10-12, science exhibitions. For under-grads, compulsory rural camping programme for 5 days annually. The camp distance should be 150-450kms from the college. Thus, safety and education would go hand in hand. This would help garnering revenue to the villages for providing lodging and local tours. All compulsory & audited by the Board. Rgds

The curriculum at early stages of education should address the social , cultural and linguistic background of children. The education of a child in early years should be imparted in such a way that there is no gap between the environment of a school and home. It should encourage multiple resources of teaching and learning instead of only a text book centric.

Let's start from first step of better education and its impact to students. Teachers are the primarily responsible for this. Now a day, teaching is the way of earning money and if u for to village and small town' schools, see the status of our teachers, they are not able to talk even in good manner also, their knowledge status is very weak. So please first improve the quality of teachers to make further steps successful.

To make students capture what the teacher is saying, teachers must be groomed enough to handle this aspects. If teacher is not remarkable in this, no technology can help. So this is the ground level improvement needed. Further, students must be given counselling to remove the FEAR OF ASKING DOUBTS OPENLY. Parents should be given periodic feedbacks regarding intellects of their children to enable them to improvise their children wherever necessary.

Another matter i should suggest here that private schools must be banned from making extra activities compulsory for every student in the name of overall development. This must be optional so that only interested students opt for it, and rest others can devote that time to their own area of interest whatever it may be. This is the first and foremost thing that must be done. Interest and Time Management of Children.

Whatever may be the system, implementation must be upto the mark. Further, to ensure learning outcomes, children must be taught anything based on their age groups. Career counselling and finding the area of interest must be started from standard 9. So that by the end of SSC or Matriculation Exams, they are much aware of the direction they want to go for. Schools must be upgraded to the best quality in terms of teaching as well as other facilities. This will help removing private coaching classes

प्रारंभिक शिक्षा में सुधार हेतु सर्वप्रथम पंचायतीराज व्यवस्था से निकालना बहुत ही आवश्यक है। क्योंकि जिस तरह से पंचायत के मुखिया और शिक्षा समिति द्वारा स्कूल के सभी योजनाओं में हस्तक्षेप कर धांधली की जाती है वो जनता के समझ से परे है। और हाल में जो शिक्षकों की नियोजन प्रक्रिया में अवैध रूप से बहाली हुई उसमे भी पंचायत के प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा अवैध रूप से शिक्षकों को बहाल किया गया।हमारा मानना है कि अगर हर मामले की निगरानी पंचायत से निकालकर राज्यस्तरीय तरीके से किया जाय तो सुधार संभव है।

to ensure learning outcomes we first have to provide inputs like quality teaching People today choose teaching as profession only when they have no other option left and in this process we loose people who are really capable of teaching and who have kneen interest in this field. We should first ensure that right person does the right job. Also the selected persons should be given proper training on how to teach> There must be a compulsory test every person has to clear to become a teacher.
