Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Set measurable learning outcomes in Elementary Education and give marks for that through CCE. For eg : 1. Adoring to truth ( consult with parents and rank them according to the truthfulness they follow at home,play ground,etc.) 2. Let them plant a tree at the age of 5 and by they reach 4th standard give them grades for the way they maintain those trees. 3. Accepting faults ( if a child is ready to accept his faults, encourage his attitude by ranking him for that ) 4. sharing with others

• Basic concept should be clear like alphabets, vocabulary, pronunciation for improving reading or writing skill • Teaching or education based on practical and playful method • Teachers student ratio should be 1:30 • Smart classes should be provide for every schools or every class, its should be compulsory for primary classes • Teachers should be update their education and knowledge.

स्कूली शिक्षा को बेहतर बनाने के लिए हमें स्कूलों के बारे में अपनी परम्परागत राय को बदलना होगा। अभी स्कूलों को कार्यालय समझकर, शिक्षकों को प्रतिदिन अनेक प्रकार की डाक बनाने और आँकड़े देने के लिए मजबूर किया जाता है। इससे बच्चों की पढ़ाई में व्यवधान होता रहता है। बच्चे अपने शिक्षकों से सतत् जुड़े रहना चाहते हैं, विशेषकर प्राथमिक स्तर पर। अत: स्कूलों को कार्यालयीन कामकाज से वास्तव में मुक्त कर प्रभावी शिक्षण संस्थान बनाया जाना चाहिए।

कक्षाओं में शिक्षक-छात्र अनुपात ठीक किया जाए, साथ ही पर्याप्त मात्रा में शैक्षिक सामग्री की पूर्ति और शिक्षकों की भर्ती की जाए।

Must be in mother tongue of student, limited syllabus more emphasis on exploring basic skills of student, mental and physical development. Student teacher ratio must be fixed

Higher education to be made more affordable and easy financing of education.Inclusion of ICT and TECHNOLOGY both at school and higher education. Teacher Education to be updated and be modernised as per the requirement of latest developments in Education at International level. Immediate need to improve infrastructure in village schools and govt. schools.

There are a lot of schools across India which are striving hard to provide quality elementary education at affordable cost. These schools are not able to provide education to a lot of students due to space/play area and permission constraints. Such schools should be given buildings of govt./municipal schools which are lying unused and getting dilapidated. बच्चे की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा उसकी मातृभाषा में हो तथा आयु वर्ग के अनुसार हल्का होना चाहिए बोझिल नही।
