Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

syllabus should be minimum.all india syllabus of same class should be same.yoga paranayam should be added.no reservation should be in teaching process

For better outcome at the elementary level the whole education should b action based and not memory based. Other points... 1. The elementary education must b given in the mother tongue only. 2. The text books must be smaller having little content. The rest must be taught with wide range of discussions and lot of references. 3. Sanskrit must b taught from std. 1 in the form of oral Subhashitas. 4. English should be introduced from std. 4 5. The lady teachers should b recruited preferably.

primary education should be in mother tongue.provide better teaching learning environment.in teacher selction processior .no reservation and quallification first

CCE Pattern bound to learn current chapters only where students stress to learn the prescribe syllabus and forget the previous one, that legs behind the learner.

Elementary education should be in our mother tongue.As a child learn its mother tongue from his parents and society .it will become easy for him or her to understand whatever is taught in the class if it is in his own language. it should practical rather than more theoretical as they will grasp more at their early age.
