Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

क्रमशः...नही बदली।हम बालक को बिना जाने अपना रटा हुआ अनुभव उन पर थोपते हैं।एक अच्छे शिक्षक को यह जानना चाहिए कि उसका बालक क्या चाहता है?हमें उन्हें प्रत्यभिज्ञान और प्रत्यास्मरण करवाना है जबकि हम उन्हें सीधे ऐसे ज्ञान से जोड़ते है जिससे वह सम्बन्ध ही नहीं रखता तो जोड़ेंगे कैसे?जैसे कि एक छोटे बालक को एक कविता रटवा दी "मछली जल की रानी है.."।आप सोचेगें कि मैंने रटवाने शब्द का प्रयोग किया है जो अधिगम उद्देश्यों में नहीं आता ।वहां याद करवाने के लिए कहे तो यह तब होगा जब बालक को इसके प्रत्येक शब्द के

हम प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त करते है कि किस तरह बालक बालक की अनुभूति को अभिव्यक्त करे?लेकिन क्या हम ऐसा करते है?मेरा मानना है नहीं।हम शिक्षक हमारी अनुभूति को उनमें अभिव्यक्त करने की कोशिश करते हैं।बालक स्वयं सीखता है लेकिन वह उस सीखे हुए संज्ञान को अभिव्यक्त करना चाहता है।पहले बालक जिस वातावरण में सीखता था वहा उसे कबूतर खरगोश और गाय आसानी से देख सकता था आज के बालक को कबूतर के बजाय क कंप्यूटर सिखाया जाये तो ज्यादा अच्छा होगा।यह तो केवल एक उदहारण था कि बालक का वातावरण बदल रहा है लेकिन हमारी शिक्षण पद्दत

Primary schools must be in mother language.Government should improve conditions of government schools in place of opening new private schools.

The Subject should be delivered to the last child teacher should be dedicated devoted sincere and should have art of teaching necessarily basic should be clear language and math science and envoironment along with fine arts should be the base. Learning by doing should be priority CCE should be modified it should be brief and according to the age group.
