The mandate of the Ministry of Culture is to preserve, promote, explore and share India’s culture and heritage along with ethos and values for the benefit of mankind. For achieving this Mission, the Ministry undertakes the following activities:

• Maintenance and conservation of heritage, historic sites and ancient monuments
• Administration of libraries
• Promotion of literary, visual and performing arts
• Observation of centenaries and anniversaries of important national personalities and events
• Promotion of institutions and organizations of Buddhist and Tibetan studies
• Promotion of institutional and individual non-official initiatives in the fields of art and culture
• Entering into cultural agreements with foreign countries

The functional spectrum of the Ministry ranges from creating cultural awareness from the grass root level to the international cultural exchange level. Details about several Schemes which are administered by Ministry of Culture for providing financial assistance for promoting cultural activities are available on the Ministry’s website (http://indiaculture.nic.in/).

Also, various organizations under the Ministry of Culture organize cultural programs and events from time to time.

The Ministry has decided to invite suggestions from the public regarding innovative ideas for effective use of Media in promoting Indian Culture and Heritage.

It is requested that the individual suggestions may be limited to about 200 words.

sir mera ak suggestion h smart city ki tarj par smart villege program bhi start ho taki gram vasiyo ko bhi behtar infrastructur pradhan ho sake abhi hamare gaon gopalpura tehsil khirkiya disit harda mp me pani ki samasya se gaon m paresani h ham har ak ghar me nal sewa praday kar pani ki sucharu vavastha karni hogi gram panchayat ak tanki banwaye aur fir pani pradhan kare

har ak villege me ak projector par roj news aur indian culture se reletated program aur govt scheme adi ko dikhaya jana chahiye sham ko har din program k madhyam se ham media k dawra ham achi service de sakege hamare gramvasiyo ko

Honourable Prime minister of India, Sir, I am Lakshana, a grade 7 student from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. I am a big fan of you. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of yours has made a great impact on me and I am doing my best to follow this mission. I am quite worried about the state of the famous Madurai Meenakshi temple. I have seen people litter there and I tried my best to stop them but I could not. My request is that to maintain dustbins so that the temple is kept clean.

First places must be clean, safe, must maintain its nature beauty not to use oil paints on stone walls every thing must be place for a beautification than Prepare a guidelines for news channels to show it in a good way, also promote its features in movies location name n place, impose a condition on film maker to do so where it is possible.

I THINK MEDIA CAN HAVE A VERY STRONG ROLE IN PROMPTING INDIAN CULTURE AND HERITAGE ,BUT FOR THAT NEWS MEDIA SHOULD DIVERT ITS FOCUS FROM THE NON PRODUCTIVE AREAS TO CREATIVE IDEAS LIKE NO NEGATIVE NEWS CAMPAIGN OF DB GROUP , APPRECIATING AND HIGHLIGHTING THE POSITIVE SIDE OF SOCIETY INSTEAD OF PUTTING MORE FOCUS ON NEGATIVE NEWS OF CRIME , TV MEDIA CAN ALSO HAVE A GREAT ROLE IN SUCH A TASK BY SHOWING PROGRAMS WHICH HELP IN BUILDING STRONG INTEGRATION TOWARDS OUR CULTURE.

we have to educe importance of English and for that the schools even though they are convents or English medium schools the language of communication should be kept Hindi.when students teachers communicate with each other in Hindi gradually Hindi will dominate and within few years we may shift to Hindi or Sanskrit. Sanskrit is the most scientific language for communication as well as for computer. It should be made compulsory in every school.

#MyGov media should be used to reflect social problem.For example: There is no separate lines on Roads for Ambulance and police vehicles. I Think this is the biggest problem and should be tackle before widening of roads. Media can provide such type of ideas to Government and I hope Government will consider it as effective idea

if media is free anti national use it to destabilize good governance,all media as many channel,we need to grade them based on there social participation issue based,or open areas of competition among them on cultural research debates,let media bring collection of old literature books,coin,online,and get recognition as truth finding same will be recognize under India culture heritage.

Citizens should first understand that this is our country,our Culture and Heritage.Media should be transparent enough in publishing Data collected regarding Public and not manipulating it in anyway whatsoever be the pressure upon them.
