Prime Minister's Independence Day Speech is perhaps the most important speech of the year. It carries it with the import of history and the vision and aspirations of future. Delivered every year on 15th August, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, the Independence Day Speech is the occasion when the Prime Minister lays out the government's achievements till date and the and the programmes and policies for the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has however, for the first time, set the trend of directly seeking ideas and suggestions from citizens for formulating his Independence Day Speech. Like last year, this year too the Prime Minister invites citizens to contribute their views, their ideas, their suggestions, indeed their own vision.

So now you have the opportunity to tell your ideas, give word to your suggestions and crystallise your vision. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will articulate them.

Dear Prime Minister, I think on this auspicious day you should boldly announce that you will exempt all Super Senior Citizens from all direct taxes because inflation has eaten away their capital and with an era of low interest rates they have very little for survival.Further Mediacl treatment at all Govt.Hopsitals for Senior Citizens should be totally free. All private doctors should be asked to compulsorily give a fifty percent discount on all charges to Senior Citizens.

Sir, Kindly tell something about the Public Distribution Systems. The first fallout of the PDS is the inadequacy of the commodities. The people who are entitled to receive commodities under this scheme do not often receive them due to the shortage of grains distributed for these purposes. The Fair Price Shops are never properly monitored, which is the responsibility of the state government.

We, all NRIs across the world - do you ever think about us ? We born & brought up INDIA have left time & again to alien land & have created many mini Indias outside India. These mini Indias are multi layered - you will find a cobbler & you will find a CEO. Sir, how much we have to struggle day to day, keeping our national flag flying high is beyond your realms of imaginations. Why are you NOT working in INDIA ? World Class cities are built over a period of time with methodical planning and huge sums of money.Smart cities will improve current situation but still there is a need for planning cities with future in mind.Where are the broad roads and parking spaces?Where are the parks and playgrounds? It will be wise to bring talent from the abroad for Town and country planning departments across the country as good infrastructure will automatically bring investments.

All your efforts are getting nullified by the rampant corruption in the bureaucracy, inefficient & corrupt state governments of your party. Mr. PM, you might have become the 'Prdhan Sevak" but leaders of all parties and the babus are still the Lords of the general public. You boast of large youth population of the country but rotten & lumpen youth is of no use. Share your thoughts on measures to improve these.
