Prime Minister's Independence Day Speech is perhaps the most important speech of the year. It carries it with the import of history and the vision and aspirations of future. Delivered every year on 15th August, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, the Independence Day Speech is the occasion when the Prime Minister lays out the government's achievements till date and the and the programmes and policies for the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has however, for the first time, set the trend of directly seeking ideas and suggestions from citizens for formulating his Independence Day Speech. Like last year, this year too the Prime Minister invites citizens to contribute their views, their ideas, their suggestions, indeed their own vision.

So now you have the opportunity to tell your ideas, give word to your suggestions and crystallise your vision. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will articulate them.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister In the city of Hyderabad that I live, there are wide roads at some places like the mumbai Highway. For anyone walking on the road, it is very difficult to cross the road. The zebra crossings are far and few. Can you please encourage the State governments to provide a. more zebra crossings spaced closeby so that pedestrians can use b. more police personnel who are dedicated to help children, and elderly to cross the roads especially during peak hours

Thanks Dear Prime Minister for this opportunity to give inputs on Independence Day Speech. I would like request you to clear the government stand on reservation and protests done for reservation, as it is becoming a great threat to harmony of our society.

Honourable Mr.Prime minister Thanks for your initiatives and involving all of us in the governance process. Can you please ask the media to telecast/publish some positive news too. You are trying to spread positive energy among the citizens but our Media is always busy to spread negativity to gain TRP. Will you please make the citizens aware so that they don't just blindly follow the media. Thank You.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister On our roads we have buses (run by both government and private companies, schools, colleges, etc) that are emitting grey/ brown/ black smoke. It is really sad to see young children, women and elderly having to navigate through this pollution for the minimum mistake of walking on the road. Can you please challenge the state governments, Indian and foreign corporations operating in India to operate ONLY pollution free transportation by aug 15, 2107?

Dear Prime Minister Greeting!! We have implemented many schemes i.e. Swachchh Bharat, Krishi kalyan (separate tax paid by taxpayer), even though established a department of Clean Ganga. These are excellent initiative but need to be implemented in ground realty. Usage of Polethene is bigger contribution of pollution in all type of areas (Ganga, surroundings & Agriculture lands). So why not stop the Polethene production or limited production instead of just taking tax on behalf of these schemes.
