The four existing Defence Institutions namely National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune are proposed to be brought under the ambit of INDU without diluting their powers or autonomy for award of degrees and diplomas.

#IndianNationalDefenceUniversity, #INDU Some points that i would like to suggest: 1. Lot of stress on getting the best faculty for teaching 2. Major stress on curriculum design and R&D 3. Depts like ISRO,DRDO,HAL etc. should be included in the curriculum designing and R&D. 4. Best of the bests students from the country should be selected through a comprehensive testing process 5. More awareness needs to be spread, as it's not known to many as of now 6. Cybersecurity to be a major stream.

INDU is a very a brilliant idea and it will definitely bring uniformity in courses and it will be dedicatedly for defence. Members in BoG should be included from Armed Forces HQ Civil Service also, as they are exclusively working with uniform peronnel of Tri Services in service HQs, HQ IDS, NDC etc and bridging between Defence Ministry and HQs and have gained specialisation. All administrative posts of INDU may be filled from AFHQ Civil Service, Steno & Clerical Services (as encadered posts).
