Indian National Defence University Bill, 2015 proposes to establish a world class fully autonomous institution of National Importance under Ministry of Defence. University will develop and propagate higher education (PhD, M Phil, M Tech and M Sc) in National Security Studies, Defence Management and Defence Technology and promote policy oriented research on all aspects relating to national security, both internal and external. It would also encourage awareness of national security issues by reaching out to scholars and an audience beyond the official machinery. It will also serve as a think tank contributing to policy formulation and debates on security and strategy. INDU will inculcate and promote coordination and interaction not just between the three Armed Services but also between other agencies of the Government, the Civil Bureaucracy, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Intelligence Services, Diplomats, Academicians, Strategic Planners, University Students and officers from Friendly Foreign Countries. It would create synergy between the academic community and Govt functionaries. It would make available opportunities for higher studies through distance learning to interested military personnel.

Initially, four new colleges / institutions, namely School of National Security Studies, School of Defence Technology, School of Defence Management and Centre for Distance and Open Learning are proposed to be set up at main campus at Binola, Gurgaon. The four existing Defence Institutions namely National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune are proposed to be brought under the ambit of INDU without diluting their powers or autonomy for award of degrees and diplomas.

The last date for sharing inputs on Draft Indian National Defense University Bill, 2015 is 21st August, 2016.

This is a great initiative I think this university should be more and more a nationalist ideologically driven. Very first there should be no place for student politics. it should be a research and technology oriented institute. university should have departments such as strategic planning, traditional & Morden warfare, space & cyberspace warfare. more over it should be a incubation center to grow a national think tank group which would help in shaping national strategy.

There should be comradeship between the officers of three services and IAS and other civil depts. This can happen if there is a common entry point like NDA followed by specialisation like IMA training. Forces and civil services should not be permitted to have independent direct entries. Let India produce best men to lead the defense and the country. In my career as Army officer I had seen departmental heads not cooperating with each other due to sheer ego related to entry. NDU may help.

How long, how long we tolerate Pakistan's infiltration of terrorist? How many loyal defence, civil Indians are being killed ... for what? Suggession : Make two type of videos. One short and one long video; about showing actual training the millitants by ISI, and sending across. Losses of human being, etc/- etc/- show to the entire world what is happening; the behavior of Pakistan govt., behavior of Pakistan defence. Send the videos to All Nations of the World, Leaders, Press of nations.

Affiliation should be given to other Defence Colleges and Academies like IMA, MCTE, MCME, MCME and other similar institutions. These institutions give PG degree in different defense subjects. Secondly, the role of Army Training Command, DGMT and similar AF and Naval organizations vis-a-vis National Defense University should be redefined. Thirdly; All establishments of defense are suffering from shortage of officers. NDU will add to the burden.

Dear Sir, Dhara 370 should be omitted from our constitution. If GST is passed from rajya sabha why don't NDA Govt try to do on the Article 370. Temporary does not means 100 years. Already 69 years is enough. So Do this As Soon As Possible. GST is best for our economy and omitting Article 370 will be best impact on Defence of our country.

Dear Sir, The project is no doubt a very nice idea. But we should strengthen our sarkari schools first. Conditio of these schools is very poor and teacher recruitment also seems very irresponsible. Recruited teachers are not upto the mark. Please look into d matter. Foundation strong krne ka ek matr tarika hai sir.

It's really nice to see such a project coming up in India, where we are growing manifold in term of Defence and Security. Apart from the courses this university is going to offer, its very important that the students after completing the course should get placement for job as field is not common like MBA and teaching staff should not be limited to only the senior defence officer but opportunity should be open to the youth those who already hold MPhil and PhD in relevant subjects with NET/JRF.

it took to much time for getting justice. sir please do somrthing by which each cases can be finalize in minimum time and people can get justice. in uttar pradesh case are in pending since 1980. people died but they never get justice no more bail for curropt peoples netas like lalu yadav ...
