Instead of micromanaging the universities, UGC could focus solely on providing grants and assessing the quality of institutions. Universities should be free to decide on matters like the amount of compensation paid to faculty, tuition and other fees, nature and duration of courses etc.

Firstly, Govt. should work on improvement in basic infrastructure of the institutions. A better environment will provide better result. Institutions should have their own regular and responding websites. Only sending fund should not be government's duty but govt. should also check the facilities at regular intervals. A powerful organisation is necessary to be formed that could check the reality on the ground in institutions. It is necessary to include students in taking decisions.

India's regulation and governance has enforced a highly fragmented system of councils and commissions that have prevented opening up quality education. Universities have reduced education in colleges to coaching for mass university examinations. We need to reinvent and re-engineer the education system for quality and inclusion that is learner and learning centric. This is possible using approaches like NPTEL. More later!

as a post graduate student i suggest you that. students should be a part of decision making of education policy at institutional level. Most of Teacher's demands respect from students and consider respect as their Right. make policies which binds gap between student and teachers. if teachers behave like a friend and forgive there own ego. Educational quality will surely get improve..

Selection of the Assistant Professor should be made on all India basis annually well before the commencement of the session and their should be all permanent appointments of the teachers. When we can appoint IAS/IPS every year why can't we appoint teachers who have taught them on time? Teachers should be given more autonomy but appointments should be strictly on all India level Subject, aptitude and personality test so that only those people who are really capable should join the cadre.

Dear madam, I interact with many young collage kids from Delhi and outside and they give me one common feedback that they are still following the same course which universities use to run 26 or 30 year ago. This is new era make things more practical and make a policy under which Students can learn latest in their interested courses with technology. Do additional workshops in collages on Leadership, Policy awareness, Public speaking etc to build confidence among students.

sir in present the private college not follow the rules of ugc and law and order.if we observe that now day the corporal punishment in private college is common thing.all newspaper like times of india,indian express,on you tube,blogs and local state level newspaper is full of corporal punishment news of private college.many collge ban on talking of girls and boys in campus.it attack on indian democracy.so punishment like slapping is common in private college but very rare cause come in media.

1. University VC appointment should be free from political financial influence. 2. Teaching post in all govt colleges should be 100% as per ugc or aicte norms.govt institutions should be example to others. 3. Research facilities to be created on par with IITs in all govt institutes. 4. Govt funded projects /scheme should be given to govt College on preference. 5. All the colleges should be given autonomy in academics and finance. 6. Students should be given full scholarship in govt colleges
