Discussion in Round 2 of the "Smart City Mission" City Challenge, as part of the process, Haldia Municipality is organizing a Discussion Forum where prominent citizens will take up the Pan-city smart solutions and Area Based Development issue suggested by the citizen through Comment for discussion. Citizens may post their Smart Solutions, Addition and Alteration on Draft Proposal. Please participate in discussion online by login to MyGov.

Urban Transport system of Haldia should be devise and introduce mobility solutions in terms of routes, modes, means and networks, which would be efficient, less energy consuming and sustainable. I suggest we should start night bus services for the industrial worker because they could not find any bus after 8:00Pm in the city.

Let’s make a holistic approach for the development. Keep the balance between the development and environment. A port city Haldia has many issues like industrial hazards, industrial wastes, vehicle movements that adds up to the pollution. A smart solution for these challenges are first priority for the development of Haldia.

Green Haldia, Clean Haldial the motto should be promoted in the sideline of Smart City vision. Environment is the major concern of this port city. An eco-friendly approach of Haldia port by extending ecological and sustainable growth initiatives in the city.

Development of Smart city Haldia should be inclusive and it must take all section of society in the fold. Up liftmen of the poorest of poor of the society should be objective of the building a futuristic smart city.
