The Smart City needs to minimize the unemployment among the citizens and generate livelihood options through smart city initiative. I think through skill development and vocational training institutions we can empower youth to add to the growth of Haldia. Economy of Haldia will grow if the youth will be employed in the local industries. More ITI and management institute are needed for Haldia to be a smart city.

Haldia is envisioned as Clean, Green, and Sustainable with better quality of life in terms of education, health, employment, culture and security and convenience of public facilities around the city. Most of the facilities that a city should maintain is not here in Haldia.

A Sustainable Port based Industrial City encompassing Livability, Workability and Playability as its hallmarks of Haldia for Smart City. Making this target achievable is the need of time. As we are gearing up for smart city, administration and citizen should work together to bring this dream to reality.
