Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

There shall be a system of authorisation of documents by the department issuing the same. They may charge a nominal fees for the purpose. It could be through a digital signature over the document by departmental authority. This way the department officers can also link that particular document to Aadhaar Number.

Digital Locker must also include "Upload Passport size Photo" link. because everywhere photo is also demanded with documents. also it improve security and more safe.

It is a very good facility to reduce unnesessary paper work and wastage of time but awarness of cyber security is very important.

Sir, we developed a project which meets up to the requirements of e-governance and #digitalindia. We also submitted the project overview 7 months ago to the PMO website. We are waiting for an opportunity to present this project. Hope you consider this as genuine and we are eagerly waiting for reply.

The concept launched is very good...but the application is very slow. Working on wife is becoming difficult god knows what will happen in 2g speed. Also most of the buttons are not working hence not able to upload the pics of passport and pan... lot needs to be worked upon
