India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

3.Second we can give a basic awareness in these children. This work a simple thing we all have to do is that we have to reexamine our education pattern/syllabus of various classes and reframe it in a new process with new thoughts. It is seen that most of the HIV patient are truck drivers and or low class workers. For them we should conduct a regular awareness programme for them at every level (from street to home, village to town, gram panchayat to zila level).

2.but Sir with due respect I am very sorry to say that still we hesitate to talk about SEX and sex related diseases at basic school level. Why I am emphasizing on school level because if we educate our school going children from beginning then two things we can change. First we can change the mindset and we create or a new thinking process towards this and we will achieve great success in breaking a huge thought process barriers of upcoming young generations.

1.Regarding Prevention Or Early Detection We Can Do Many Things. What all we need is real will power to irradiate it from our nation. Most important thing is we have to change the mind set of people and environment of every citizen by conduction awareness programs at every level (from school to office, from shop to local transport, a small clinic to multispecialty hospitals).we are going to set a new standard parameter for developed country in upcoming days.
