India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

Develop a very easy and cost effective solution for HIV test. If the test is very simple which could be like just take blood and produce results on the spot. Then Government could launch a massive scheme similar to Jan Dhan Yojna where every person will be tested and a data base be prepared of infected persons. Let the test be so simple that anyone should be able to do this with minimum training so that Govt use the more staff then only medical staff without affecting normal medical function

Sir as per News Reports 3 out of 5 people in India suffer either BP or Diabetes in India which is set to rise in future if no awareness is created.Sir we hv no health insurance cover like in other countries to safe guard public / people health.Medicines / Diagnostic centres costs are exorbitant. If the government takes up the initiative and supply BP / Diabetes medicines for free along with monthly ration will be a great help to poor.Kindly think on it please

Like Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna, Industrialists also should be asked to take ownership of villages and backward areas to develop it with schools, medical, sports, safety, water irrigation and making toilets etc. and based on their real investment they should be given tax relaxation.e.g. 50% for 1st year for investment, and 10% each year for 05 years for maintenance/sustenance. This will help towards contribution of developed India.

Ration shops (PDS ) are more corrupt centers and send 50 - 75 % of the stock to black market. No single ration shop does the distribution with honest. If the government pays little attention on it to curb the black marketing, the effort will indirectly help few more poor people to get ration .There are various cost effective efforts which government may think of.. • Bio metric signature supply of ration to the card holders • A call centre which addresses the card holder grievances to curb black m
