How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible?

India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

प्रतिदिन सड़क दुर्घटनाओं में घायलों की मृत्यु इसलिए हो जाती है कि उन्हें पुलिस के अनावश्यक कार्यवाही पूछताछ के डर से कोई भी व्यक्ति बचाने की हिम्मत नही करता। अतः सभी मुख्य मार्गो चौराहों पर समाचार पत्रों व चैनलों पर इसके प्रति जागरूकता के प्रचार हों तथा मदद गारों को प्रशस्ति मिलेगी उन्हें परेशान नही किया जायेगा। तो यह भी स्वच्छता अभियान की तरह एक अभियान बन जायेगा और करोड़ों लोगों को अकाल मृत्यु से बचाया जा सकेगा।

Blood test is the only way so it should be done on msss scale on specific days of the year like December Private clinics should be made to participate in these programmes as they are at a better position to suggest and advice moreover private clinics who volunteer to collect samples and send it to testing centers at regions could be offered incentives linking adhaar no will also help in tracking it

We have witnessed several cases of kidnapping and abduction of small children around the country. This type of crime specially targeted against poor is growing each year, but the govts. and authorities are sitting blind. i don't understand why the total police organisation appears helpless in controlling such crimes.

Hello Sir, Kindly Note that it seems like the procedure has not been followed for the Marriage Ammendment bill (2014) to be presented in the winter session. Kindly make sure the public opinion is taken for this bill which will effect millions and note that it was a UPA bill too and ironically was not in line with Joint Select Committee. One sincere request that this bill needs to go thru due process so that it helps millions than being a badly drafted bill. Thanks and Regards, Bhosekar.

होम्योपैथी में सुझाव- "चेचक से बचाने वाली मीठी गोली" के रूप आम जन में पहचान होम्योपैथी की विश्वसनीयता का प्रमाण है ,ऐसे ही अन्य कई संक्रामक रोगों में होम्योपैथिक औषधियों के प्रमाणिक अध्यन हैं उनपर विशेषज्ञों से विमर्श कर वितरण कराये जाने पर विचार किया जा सकता है

एक ही स्वास्थ्य केंद्र पर सभी पद्धतियों के चिकित्सकों की उप्ल्ब्द्धता हो तथा रोगियों को उपचार के लिए सर्वोपयुक्त पद्धति में जाने का सुझाव दिया जा सके। जैसे प्रारम्भिक अवस्थाओं में बवासीर ,पथरी जैसे शल्य रोगों में होम्योपैथी अत्यंत कारगर व विश्वसनीय है तो यह शल्यक्रिया की तकलीफ बोझ व व्यय से बचने का आसान माध्यम हो सकती है। इसी प्रकार हड्डी टूटने पर प्लास्टर के बाद होम्योपथी की दवाएं जुड़ने की प्रक्रिया में तेजी से कारगर हैं।

Local councilors and MLA can arrange free health check-up annually which can facilitate early detection of HIV. It has to be confidential or people will avoid it.

होम्योपैथी में सुझाव- कालेजो में सम्बद्ध चिकित्सालयों की संख्या में बृद्धि हो। कालेजो में सामाजिक समिति हो जो आस पास के क्षेत्रों में स्वास्थ्य के जन जागरूकता कार्यक्रमों का नियमित संचालन करे।

होम्योपैथी में सुझाव- चिकित्सकों का बीमा हो, तथा रोगियों को भी होम्योपैथी द्वारा कराये गये उपचार की प्रतिपूर्ति मिलने की सुविधा होनी चाहिए। प्रदेश व केन्द्रीय होम्योपैथिक परिषदों में युवाओं का भी मनोनयन होना चाहिए। चिकित्सा व शिक्षा निदेशालय पृथक हों। जनपदों में पंजीकरण की प्रक्रिया जिला होम्योपैथी अधिकारी के आधीन हो। जिला होम्योपैथी अधिकारीयों के अधिकारों व सुव्धाओं में बृद्धि होनी चाहिए।
