India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

make policies - before marriage make screening as a mandatory rule. Make policies to avoid false advertisements in channel saying they can treat HIV. Mandate the rule TB and HIV advertisements should be done by govt only. All should display once a week in there respective channels. I have observed due to false advertisements adherence to drugs is lost in many parts of India. It is more dangerous than other thinks, before we start identifying cases we are spreading resistant strains of HIV.

Aap khali ek committee banado jahan pe hum gandgi karne walo ki complain kar sake, toh bhi kuch ho sakta hai. Strict fine lagao, agar officer paisa apne Jeb mei dhalta hai toh bhi chalega lekin unhe uksao is kaam ke liye. Maharashtra mei rajnigandha tulsi ban hai, lekin 100 mei se 90 paan wale aaj bhi usse black mei khule aam bech rahe hai. Ya toh kanun hi mat lagao, aur lagao toh uski karyawahi karo.

Mujhe samaj nahi aata hai yahan pe agar aap kisi ko bolo ki aap galat jagah kachra fake rahe ho, toh Woh galti ka ehsaas karne ki jagah aapko Yeh bolta hai ki apne kaam se matlab rakh, ya fir aapse hinsak vyavhaar karta hai toh aap aise desh aur desh vasiyo ko kaise sudhar paoge. Aap khud kuch kar nahi rahe aur dusre ko karne bhi nahi dete, ya toh aap khud kuch karo ya Hume authority dedo kuch karne ki, ek ek dimaag thikane aa jayege. Please take some strict action, politeness not work always.
