In order to sensitize and create awareness among young internet users on safe and responsible use of internet and available online technologies, Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) seek suggestions on a discussion titled “How to keep children safe online?”

Mr Prime Minister I really feel cheated today as an Indian but I still have faith in you that you have solution for everything ... Reply from an american after doing 50 K of business with them : "Yogesh, I adjusted the rate to $25/hr, which is the rate which most americans and british resources were proposing. Your rate was far higher than any of the others, but I awarded it at the high end, 25/hr. Cmon Indians are far more better and commited to server their country

I would recommend free parental control DNS server to be established by government, all routers sold in India by default should be configured to go through parental control DNS server. Ofcourse for parent a password to be provided to bypass the parental control. Opendns.org provides this service today, but it would require parents to configure their router to use it, I recommend government to mandate default configuration to be parental control on.

Internet service provider should give options to users to create user accounts (like in windows os) according to the age. eg. if i have a single wifi / broadband connection in my home, still i should have a option to create user account, so that a child can have a restricted account (no adult site, any unknown website etc) . When any member from that internet connections goes in from any computer, it should ask to enter the user id and password.
