The Bed Linen supplied in the indian Railways could be mandatorily be a Handloom Product. Also all the curtains in Government buildings, PSU offices may be encouraged to use handloom products. To start with the National Flag we hoist on Buildings should be a Handloom Product. These are some ways in which we could promote this sector.

Organize trade fairs abroad in every possible occasion. Give tax holidays for handloom purchased in specific dates. Let top ministers and bollywood actress promote these by wearing and talking about these in movies and during interviews.

What I think is, first of all the hand loom weavers should be given expertise training, so that their skills can be developed and they can work efficiently and effectively. then govt. should provide subsidy to the hand loom sector so that the price became comparatively low in Indian market. Online shopping can be a good way of promoting this hand loom sector.
