Instead of transporting the materials through trucks, fruits & vegetables should be send in air conditioned coaches in railways which should be specially designed for transporting green vegetables and fruits to any place in India. In every railway station, a high tech cold storage godown be constructed in most of the railway stations of any state so that the fresh fruits and vegetables be preserved for long. This idea will form a junction of fresh fruits n vegetables along all railway stations.

1)Online mkt should be created.Here farmer would mention what he has,govt would have their rate card for all items,requirement & previous stock details of food resource throughout India.Delivery of food items would be based on this update & payment would be done in the bank account created by govt for farmers so transparency is maintained.2)Govt would demand food articles in quantity & quality as per need so no wastage & farmers would grow accordingly.3)Best storage & transportation required.

Step 1: Build more cold storages across all states of Bharat.
Step:2 The distribution and sale of fruits, vegetables and other natural food items should be taken up by the central government.Otherwise private distributors, and street retailers will continue to loot the public and play with the health of the public by spraying injecting dangerous chemicals into vegetables and fruits.
Step 3: Build supermarkets where consumers can shop for fruits and vegetables and other food articles.

We need large scale storage and handling centers with right transport system to carry perishable goods which is absent in India. Storage needs both dry and cold storage with efficient transport systems. In current transport via trucks you can see rotten vegitables from outside as they enter mandi! They may be packed fresh in village but it rots till it reaches destinations.
