India is the World’s second largest producer of Fruits & Vegetables. However, the processing of perishable products in our country is very low, in comparison to the developed countries or developing countries like China, Brazil, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc. One of the main constraints in the growth of processing of fruits & vegetables in the country is non-availability of modern and suitable infrastructure with efficient supply Chain. Consequently, there is very high level of wastage of the fruits & vegetables in the country resulting in the farmer not getting adequate remuneration for his yield. A study conducted by Central Institute of Post Harvesting Engineering Technology (CIPHET), Ludhiana, an ICAR institute, reveals that wastage in various agricultural crops in the country range from 6-18% and the highest loss has been shown in fruits and vegetables.

Ministry of Food processing Industries invites views/ suggestions for reduction of these losses.

Last date for sending your suggestions is 1st February 2015.

Apparently IBA and DFS are hand in gloves in this game, otherwise neither IBA would have not dared to ignore instructions of DFS nor DFS would have allowed IBA to be so callous in this matter. It is pity that left over category of bank officers / employees are suffering as the verdict of court is not being honoured and are being pushed to litigation.

MOF, Govt of India has again issued letter no.D.O.No 10/30/7/2010-R dated 26.9.2012 to IBA for retreating its stand as per their letter dated 25.7.2012.

MOF, Govt of india vide their letter dated 25.7.2012 to IBA has given clear cut instructions/order to remove the word "retired on superannuation" by sending modified instructions to its member banks for implementation of 2nd pension option scheme in favour of leftovers but it is regretted that till date they have not taken action on this issue.

The left over category of officers /employees who have been illegally denied he second option for pension are forced to run from pillar to post despite favourable orders by Karnatka High Court, Andhra High Court and Supreme Court of India. How IBA gets paralysed itself in implementing the directive of DFS, Ministry of Finance regarding grant of second option to left over category of officers / employees by removing the word "retired on superannuation"

Sir, There seems to be many hurdles in bringing black money back from other countries. Those who say they don't have any account but their name is there in the list. Take a affidavit from them and an authority letter that if any account with their identities is found then they consent to transfer whole amount to India govt. account in India. Collect all their identity proofs give it to foreign bank and get the money back. No law will create hurdle as it will be with their consent.

जिस क्षेत्र में जिस फल या सब्जी का उत्पादन सबसे ज्यादा होता है , उस क्षेत्र में उस फल या सब्जी का गोदाम बनाया जाये जिसमे की अधिक समय तक फलो और सब्जियों को सुरक्षित रखा जा सके और गोदाम में अपने उत्पादन को रखने का ज्यादा शुल्क नहीं लिया जाये

Need or Necessity is the mother of all inventions so JUGAAD should not be discouraged rather should be celebrated in such fields as these because there is nothing to lose and much to gain from these India's best creative minds which are geared to deliver something productive out of nothing in resource scarcity. There should be an annual JUGAAD competition at each level to solve various problems in a challenging fashion and this inherent Indian strength should be developed and promoted not killed

Also, India should sponsor/send it top 10 farmers (ranked by productivity) every year in each field (Paddy, Cotton, wheat, oilseeds, sugarcanes) for a Govt. Sponsored practical training trip to foreign countries with best productivity in each field for skill up gradation. For example in USA Maize(Corn) production is 9,000 KG/hectare whereas in India its only 2,000 KG/Hectare so sending top 10 maize farmers USA to learn best practices. Wheat production India 3000KG/Hectare whereas UK 7400 KG/Hect

Instead of jumping on problem and reinventing wheel, its best to do a research on methods which these other countries have perfected and what best practices we can adopt and adapt according to our situation. Some temporary cold storage solution without extensive infrastructure, investment and electricity shall work best- for example MATKI providing cool water in summer similarly some solar based inexpensive JUGAAD cold storage with local available insulation material implemented on a wider scale

make site which will work up to district level this site will give information to farmers, government, supplier about the place were their is deficit and excessness of the particular Item. make a headquater in every state which will negotiate with all other headquater and can sell or purchase the deficit item.
