As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

As we all have been reading that the pollution levels are increasing dramatically in the urban areas and especially in the capital region of Delhi an NCR, I have a solution... Since there is a shortage of land, implementation of large scale afforestation is practically impossible. So we can urge that planting of small trees should be done on the terraces of buildings. At least something is better than nothing. Eventually, the govt. can make it mandatory for all the buildings to do this..

sir, with due respect i would like to say that the expenses incurred by parents on the education of children should have make tax free and the institution should have taxed on a/c of high fee.My suggestion is based on the logic ,if govt will provide tax free atmosphere in country the student when will grown up will serve the country in better way and that would be an asset to the country.in other way the high fee will not come into the way of progress of child future
